Apple Valley Restaurant A Taste of the Town When Ed and Gretel Metzger founded Apple Valley over 30 years ago, it fulfilled Ed’s dream to recapture the essence of a special place in California called Apple Valley, the home of the cowboy singers Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. When Ed Metzger acquired the property in Milford, Pennsylvania, his dream began to take shape. First, there was a pancake house, a motel and some cabins on the property.
